About the Hiding Behind The Couch Series

From a tiny acorn of insanity...

Back in 2007, amid something of a mental breakdown, I wrote a book that in essence was a means of creating my own therapist. If I'd known then what I know now, well, I'd do it all over again!

The first book, entitled Hiding Behind The Couch, has experienced something of a curious reception. It's not yet been widely read, but those who do read it fall into one of two camps: the 'meh' faction, whom we will just ignore, and the 'oh my word, you have given me imaginary friends to play with' faction, whom I am happy to keep entertained.

So what's it all about?

It's about nine people who went to high school together. At the start of Book One, they're in their mid-thirties and going through something of a crisis. Without spoiling the story too much, Shaunna got pregnant when she was 14 and now, as her daughter approaches her 21st birthday, she's desperate to find out who her father is. Meanwhile, Josh, a therapist and the stalwart of the friendship group, is having a bit of a problem with insomnia. All the other events unfold in relation to these two pivotal aspects.
